Atheeb Intergraph Saudi Company (AISC), a subsidiary of Atheeb Group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rug-Rel Components & Systems aimed at collaborating to address defense and commercial market demands in the Middle East and Africa. The MoU was signed by Mr. Saad Omar Albaiz, CEO of Atheeb Group, and Mr. Syed Mumtaz, CEO of Rug-Rel, during a ceremony at Atheeb Group's headquarters in Riyadh. The ceremony was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Group’s Vice Chairman.

The signing of this MoU is a crucial step for AISC to enhance its capabilities and expand its geographic presence in the defense and technology sectors. Efforts by both companies in this collaboration will be directed towards the production and delivery of advanced electro-mechanical sub-systems and mission-critical systems, with a focus on rugged hardware, anti-drone solutions, military standard cables, and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services.

Rug-Rel, known for its design, development, manufacturing, and integration of high-tech electromechanical sub-systems, brings strong expertise in embedded hardware design services and industry-recognized architectures, making it the ideal partner for this collaboration. Rug-Rel’s capabilities align with Atheeb Group’s overall vision of providing innovative solutions across multiple market segments, including defense, aviation, MRO of military platforms, simulators, airborne systems, command and control systems, and business process automation.

A significant aspect of the MoU is the plan to establish a production and assembly facility in Saudi Arabia. This initiative will localize and transfer technologies across the entire lifecycle, from design to production, testing, and quality assurance, in accordance with the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) requirements, as well as develop national capabilities in line with Vision 2030.

The MoU also aims at forming a new Saudi limited liability company, which will function as the main regional office for the Middle East and Africa, further illustrating both parties’ commitment to regional growth and economic diversification.

Furthermore, this collaboration provides an opportunity for AISC to develop its technological framework while contributing to the development of Saudi human resources. By transferring critical knowledge and nurturing local talents in technology and defense, AISC aims to work effectively with Rug-Rel to enhance national and regional security and achieve technological self-sufficiency in the Middle East and Africa.

AISC is thrilled to have embarked on this new relationship with Rug-Rel, and looks forward to a long-lasting and productive collaboration.
